Prayer: Our Faith Prayed and Lived
It has been a year since I was blessed to attend the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia and the see Pope Francis from a distance, yet in person! The graces from that experience are still eminent and continue to motivate me to bring Christ to all. I want to invite you to similar and smaller scale experience taking place very soon and nearby!
This wonderful opportunity will take place January 12-14, 2017 in New Orleans, LA (precisely in Kenner, a lovely suburb of NOLA). The 35th Annual GO! Gulf Coast Faith Formation Conference, hosted and sponsored by the Archdiocese of New Orleans in collaboration with regional dioceses, including Louisiana (Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Houma-Thibodaux), Mississippi (Biloxi, Jackson), and Alabama (Mobile) is a perfect opportunity for lay leaders (both professional staff and volunteers) in parishes and schools, as well as pastors, deacons and religious to join together for inspiring talks, formative breakout sessions, powerful liturgy and life-giving fellowship. Barry and I are on the GO! team to share ideas, lend support and provide resources! You all MUST join us and GO! Here’s why:
First…there is a friendly competition among the sponsoring dioceses for the most attendees from their area! Come on, BATON ROUGE, sign up!!! [Lafayette has the most so far!]
Second (and more importantly)…because of the great topics, dynamic speakers and new relationships made. Check out the details below.
The Gulf Coast Faith Formation Conference offers those involved in catechesis and evangelization in the Catholic Church an opportunity to enhance their ministries and to deepen their commitment to Jesus Christ through:
— Personal and professional development sessions with leaders in evangelization and catechetical ministry
— Liturgical celebrations and a variety of prayer experiences
— Formal and informal networking opportunities
— Thought-provoking and inspirational presentations
