Inviting Parish Catechists & Catholic School Teachers, as well as interested parents!
The first Theology of the Body Curriculum resource for Kindergarten through 8th Grade is being introduced to support the Diocese of Baton Rouge Religious Education curriculum serving Parish Schools of Religion and Catholic Schools. Ruah Woods Publishers will have representatives in town to offer training for all who teach youth in grades K-8.
The curriculum offers the path for young people to discover the fundamental truth of their innate dignity firmly ROOTED in God’s image, as male and female, called to love one another as God loves. An ultimate invitation to the purposeful universal call to holiness and genuine happiness.
Tested in over 1,000 classrooms and found to be enjoyable to explore for both teachers and students alike – an approach using literature-based units (K- Grade 2 & Grades 3-5) plus journal-inspired learning (Grades 6-8) and a relevant online high school style opens minds to discovering truth through the deep beauty of the concepts at every age.
Training is being sponsored by the Office of Evangelization & Catechesis, Youth & Young Adult Ministry and will take place at the Catholic Life Center from 6PM to 9PM on Monday, June 10 and repeated during the day on Tuesday, June 11 from 9AM to 2PM. Parish Catechists, Catholic School Teachers and interested parents are welcome to attend. Click here to register.
