We are launching our 2.0 version of online-facilitated faith formation through the Office of Evangelization & Catechesis in the Diocese of Baton Rouge. For the next 8 months, in preparation for Fall of 2018, we will be launching two redesigned MAT classes each month that will be housed in LEARNCAT, the new Center for Online Formation.
Our redesigned MAT I curriculum is intended to reflect the 4 Pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church (2 MAT I classes per Pillar) and is meant to help communicate the Divine Pedagogy, i.e. the way God draws us to be reconciled and adopted through Christ and His Mystical Body, the Church.
We have begun our first course Catholic Identity in the Catholic School in the medium already. Also, we will be offering classes & training that is relevant to all aspects of Christian Formation, such as the Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion training we have available for those who were unable to get the training from their pastor or parish representative.
Stay tuned for more MAT I & II courses, enrichment courses, and other trainings offered to support us in our ever-deepening commitment as missionary disciples of Jesus Christ.
We are also open to ideas for new courses and enrichment opportunities so if you have any please share them with us.
